At the Mobile World Congress, Huawei has introduced the first commercial terminal with Huawei 5g of customer Premises Equipment (CPE), which supports the globally recognized 3GPP telecommunications standard for 5g. The device sets a milestone for Huawei to set the course for the next generation of wireless connectivity.
To ensure maximum performance of the 5g CPE, Huawei uses its own developed Balong 5G01 chipset – The world’s first chipset, which supports the 3GPP standard for 5g with possible downlink speeds of up to 2.3 Gbit/s. The router supports 5g in all frequency bands, including sub-6 GHz and Millimeter Waves (mmWave). It provides an extensive 5g solution for different application scenarios. The Balong 5G01 makes Huawei the first company to have a continuous 5g solution in its portfolio with its network, device and chipset functions.

The 5g CPE has two modes: one for low frequency (sub-6GHz) and one for high frequency (MmWave), is small and light, compatible with 4g and 5g networks.
